Melatonin
Melatonin is a very important hormone for human health as it regulates all the circadian cyclical rhythms of our life. Melatonin production decreases with age. Its integration contributes to the reduction of the time required to fall asleep, to facilitate sleep in the transition between day and night shifts, to promote sleep in Jet-lag (air travel across multiple time zones).
Melatonin also has an antioxidant action and is able to inhibit the free radicals generated by the consumption of alcohol and nicotine.
