Active principles

Glucosamine

Glucosamine is a natural substance (amino sugar) which is extracted from the tissues that structure the carapace of crustaceans; for example: crabs, lobsters and shrimp shells. It is an important sugar for the synthesis of various natural substances, such as sugars, lipids (fats) and proteins. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) does not give specific indications for glucosamine-based products, as there is not sufficient scientific evidence to justify a cause-and-effect relationship between the intake of glucosamine and the maintenance of normal cartilage. Its ability to relieve pain and improve joint function is recognized.

Chondroitin Sulphate

Chondroitin sulfate is a natural component of cartilage. It is extracted from shark or cow cartilage. Chondroitin has a protective action on cartilage and reduces joint stiffness
